LOVE
uncomplicated as you want it be
as pure as you want it to be
nothing to reason
everything to ryhme
philosophy can't touch it
science can't disect it
truth... it is
hate it's not
a choice, it is
consequences, there are
religion tries to devour it
IT CANNOT
mindless, soul-less, heartless sex
misses it altogether
and it doesn't matter the gender
love is gender-less
and doesn't differentiate
between race, color, or creed
you can try to put it into words
but words can never fully describe it
you can call it God, Goddess
source, universe whatever
doesn't change what it is
you can try to cage it
and box it in
it's energy, my friends
you can't kill it
you can't harm it
you can't eat it, drink it or devour it ...
... out of existence
you can hate it
it still persists perfectly
and with humility
yet firmness and gentleness
quietness and strength
you can kill every living being
in every galaxy
yet the energy remains
it's lucidity
it's water
it's earth
it's air
it's fire
it's desire
it's hunger fulfilled
it's thirst quenched
it's the morning
afternoon
and evening
it's the sun
the moon
the stars
the word
the flesh
the imagination
intuition
instinct
it's unconditional
hate it
it'll love you
loathe it
it'll love you
run away from it
it will let you
run back to it ... well duh
... it's allways there
disguise it
it takes off it's mask
at will
look in the mirror
it's always trying
to reflect it back to you
the simple truth of anything
worth anything... me and you
... some say what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger
and that's true yet
I say
even what kills you makes you stronger
cause you realize
life and love never end
so what is there to fear
besides fear itself?
It's not what you've got
it's what you give
like it, love it, or hate...

so soar like an eagle

everything on earth and within
is here to help us win
and at the end of this all
we begin... again
we cross the great divide
into even greater heights
the answer is the soul
keep it safe and you'll know
anything you want
you can have
if you believe it's true
matter will obey you
to thine own self be true
and you will see the proof
of what you have the power to do
express yourself
in everything there is
and don't leave this life
if you never truly lived
don't be among the walking wounded
without understanding you can change on a dime
you have all you need within you
thought, word and deed
